The Google Semarak Malaysia Fund is a grassroots funding initiative aimed at empowering local organizations in Selangor, Malaysia. It supports projects that create measurable community impact across the following areas:

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Google Semarak Malaysia Fund, projects must meet the following requirements:

1. Themes Addressed:
   • Workforce skilling and career pathways
   • Supporting small businesses to thrive
   • AI and digital training to build education-linked skills and career readiness
   • Watershed and water resilience to strengthen environmental outcomes
   • Energy and sustainability initiatives to reduce footprint and improve resilience
2. Location: Projects must take place in the State of Selangor.
3. Project Completion: Grant recipients must complete their project and submit an impact report (including both qualitative and quantitative data) within 12 months of receiving funds.
4. Eligible Organizations:
   • Schools
   • ROS-registered societies
   • SSM-registered entities (including social enterprises)
   • Cooperatives registered with Suruhanjaya Koperasi Malaysia
   • All applicants must demonstrate a clear social mission and ensure that grant funding will be used exclusively for activities that deliver direct community benefits.
5. Applicant Requirements:
   • Must be an authorized representative of their organization.
   • Must be at least 18 years old.
