Global Fellowship Program 2027
The RIFS Research Institute for Sustainability is now accepting applications for its Global Fellowship Program 2027. This program is designed to bring together knowledge and ideas from science, politics, business, and civil society to address the sustainability challenges of our time.

The RIFS Fellow Programme promotes collaboration across institutions and borders, enabling fellows to use their knowledge and experience to initiate changes toward more sustainable societies. Even after completing their fellowship, RIFS Fellows remain connected to the institute, contributing to its mission of sustainability.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
Applicants from all parts of society and the world are welcome, including:
- Science, public administration, private sector, civil society, media, and the arts.
- The proposed project must complement the institute’s work program and align with at least two of its research groups.
📋 Application Process
Required Documents:
- Project Proposal:
- This is the core document describing your work and motivation to join the institute as a fellow.
- Only applications using the official template will be accepted.
- CV and Achievements (max. 3 pages):
- Include your educational background, career steps, and key achievements.
Optional Annex:
- You may include additional information such as a full list of publications, an artistic portfolio, or other relevant details.
- Note: This is optional, and external reviewers will only receive the project proposal.
Important Notes:
- All documents must be submitted in English.
- Applications that do not meet the requirements may be rejected without review.
- Applications must be submitted via the application portal. Submissions via email will not be accepted.

The deadline for applications is 23:59 CET on 21 June 2026.
