The Youth Climate Changemakers Fund is a significant initiative aimed at transforming the climate justice movement into a more inclusive, accessible, and representative space for young people.

  • Christian Blind Mission Ireland
  • ECOLISE

The fund supports:

  • Youth groups
  • Grassroots initiatives
  • Disability-inclusive climate action
  • Ecofeminist movements

The first call aims to build a strong community of youth climate leaders who will contribute to the broader Funding Fairer Futures initiative.

🎁 Benefits

Grantees of the GCE Young Climate Changemakers Fund will receive:

  • €1,000–€38,000 in total funding
  • 6–18 months for small-budget projects
  • Up to 30 months for large-scale initiatives

In addition to financial support, grantees will also benefit from:

  • Training and organizational development
  • Support for project management and reporting
  • Opportunities to collaborate with other youth groups across Europe
  • Access to a growing community of practice focused on climate justice

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify, applicants must:

  • Be a youth-led, non-profit legal entity
  • Be registered in one of the EU’s 27 member states
  • Have project activities taking place within the EU
  • Align with the objectives of the Youth Climate Changemakers Fund
  • Not have previously received funding from or been involved in the EU DEAR programme

Eligible organizations include:

  • Youth NGOs
  • Grassroots collectives
  • Feminist and ecofeminist organizations
  • Disability-inclusive advocacy groups
  • Community-based movements led by young people

  1. Review eligibility requirements to ensure organizational and geographic compliance.
  2. Prepare a project concept addressing climate justice, inclusion, and youth leadership.
