🤖 About Futurescot AI Challenge
The Futurescot AI Challenge is an initiative designed to help the public sector in Scotland harness AI effectively, responsibly, and ethically. By leveraging AI, public sector organisations can increase productivity, save money, and improve services.
The challenge is a collaboration between Futurescot and their technology partner, Storm ID, both of which are dedicated to advancing Scotland's digital technology sector.

The challenge is open to all public sector organisations in Scotland, including:
- The Scottish Government and its agencies.
- Non-departmental public bodies (NDPBs).
- Local Government.
- Health and Social Care.
- Arms-length organisations (ALEOs).
🏆 Judging Criteria
Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:
- Social Impact: Potential to improve the organisation and the services it provides.
- Responsibility & Ethics: Alignment with Scotland's National AI Strategy, AI Register, and AI Playbook.
- Scalability: Ability to scale the application across other parts of the organisation or the wider public sector.
- Innovation: Creativity in using data and AI technology.
- Feasibility: Practicality and cost-effectiveness of implementation.
- Sustainability: Compliance with key Net Zero and Carbon Emissions Reduction targets.

To participate, organisations must submit their idea via the online application form, illustrating how their concept uses AI to improve outcomes for citizens in Scotland.
