๐ Benefits of Future for Nature Awards
Each year, Future for Nature (FFN) awards three young, talented, and ambitious nature conservationists with the prestigious FFN Awards.
- Prize: โฌ50,000 for each winner.
- Recognition: Winners receive international recognition for their work, opening doors to new opportunities.
- Platform: FFN provides a platform to share winners' stories with conservationists, financiers, and a wide audience, increasing their impact and access to funds.
- Future for Nature Academy: Winners gain access to resources such as lectures, networking, and workshops aimed at inspiring students to become active in nature conservation.
- Community: Winners join the FFN Family, a growing community of like-minded individuals dedicated to conservation.
โ Eligibility Criteria
1) The Candidate
- Must be an individual, not an organization, program, or group of individuals.
- Age Requirements:
- Born on or after May 31, 1990 (maximum age: 35 years at the 2026 FFN Awards event).
- Born before August 31, 2007 (minimum age: 18 years at the time of application submission).
- Must have achieved substantial and long-term benefits to the conservation status of one or more wild species.
- Demonstrates commitment, determination, and passion for conservation work.
- Shows leadership, entrepreneurship, and a clear vision for conservation work.
- Has been creative and innovative in their work.
- Demonstrates honorability in conservation efforts.
- Must be determined to continue conservation work (this is not an โend-of-careerโ prize).
- Proficient in English (written and spoken).
- Reapplication Rule: Must have a minimum gap of one year between applications.
2) The Application
- Must be based on the ongoing conservation work of the candidate, not a project proposal.
- Written by the applicant, reflecting their work and conservation vision in their own words.
- Use of AI tools is permitted for guidance only; direct copying or pasting of AI-generated content may lead to exclusion.
3) The Award
- Should be used for a conservation initiative chosen and implemented by the winner.
- Focused on the conservation of wild species.
- Can involve a component of research, but the main focus should be on practical conservation impact.
Additional Requirements
- Winners will present their work at the Future for Nature Awards event at Royal Burgersโ Zoo in Arnhem, Netherlands (May 2026). Travel and accommodation expenses will be covered.
- Administrative deductions by mother organizations are not allowed.
- From all applications, 6 to 12 nominees will be shortlisted. These nominees will provide additional information (e.g., photos or videos) for the selection of the three awardees.
