π About the Programme
The United Nations Economic and Social Commission for Western Asia (ESCWA) Fellowship Programme aims to develop a new generation of professionals with strong analytical and policymaking skills to support the economic and social transformation of ESCWA member states.

Participants of the UN ESCWA Fellowship Programme will receive the following:
- Monthly stipend: USD $4,000
- Round-trip economy airfare to Beirut (ESCWA HQ)
- Residence card support for stays of 6 months or longer
- Medical insurance: Not provided (fellows must arrange their own)
β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Age: 35 years or younger
- Nationality: Must be nationals of ESCWA member states, with priority given to least developed countries (Djibouti, Mauritania, Somalia, Sudan, Yemen)
- Educational Qualification: Advanced degree (Masterβs or PhD) required
- Experience: Relevant work or research experience is encouraged
