📋 Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the EPFL Excellence Research Internship Program (ERIP), candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Be enrolled in one of the program’s partner universities from North America or Singapore.
- Be among the top 10% of students at the Bachelor’s or Master’s level.
- Have completed at least their 2nd year of Bachelor’s degree (undergraduate) by the start of the internship.
- Be enrolled as regular students at their home university during the entire internship period.
- Be nominated by their home institution’s international exchange office (exceptions may apply).
Internship Duration
- Internships are typically three months long and should be part of the student curriculum.
- Longer internships are accepted if they are part of the student’s home university-accredited projects. Proof must be attached to the application form.
- Note: The Excellence scholarship provided for the internship is limited to a maximum of three months.

Steps
- The EPFL Central Admission Committee will review all complete applications in December and shortlist successful candidates.
- Shortlisted applications will be submitted to laboratories for final selection and recruitment.
- Laboratories may conduct interviews, and successful candidates will receive an email of full acceptance to the Excellence Research Internship Program.
