📖 About eosera® Foundation Pitch Competition

Elyse Stoltz Dickerson, CEO and co-founder of eosera®, launched this pitch competition to support women entrepreneurs. Inspired by her own experience of winning a pitch competition, she established the eosera® Foundation Pitch Competition to empower female founders. Now in its fourth year, the competition has funded and inspired numerous amazing women entrepreneurs.

🎁 Benefits of eosera® Foundation Pitch Competition

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must meet the following requirements:

• The applicant and their business must be physically located in the United States.
• The applicant must be a female founder who owns the majority share in the business or partnership.
• The business must have been in operation for no more than 3 years.
• The business must be a for-profit entity in good legal standing (non-profit entities are not eligible).
• Each applicant may only submit one application.
• Previous prize winners are not eligible to reapply.
• Applicants who were not Top 3 finalists in the previous year may reapply with a new application.

🎯 Responsibilities of Finalists

Finalists are required to:

1. Attendance: Attend the pitch finale event in person.
2. Presentation: Prepare a professional presentation for their pitch.
3. Media Engagement: Participate in media engagements and promotional activities related to the competition.
4. Social Media Profiles: Maintain an active social media presence for their business on LinkedIn and Instagram.
5. Social Media Posts: Share two posts on LinkedIn and Instagram (using the collaboration feature) within two weeks of the competition. Posts should include:
   • A mention of the eosera® Foundation Pitch Competition.
   • What they hope to gain from participating.
   • At least one post should include a photo or video from the event.

By ensuring a strong social media presence, the competition aims to amplify the impact and celebrate the achievements of female entrepreneurs.

💵 Simmons Bank Prize Distribution for Winners

Winners of the competition must adhere to the following terms and conditions:

1. Award Disbursement:

• Prize money will be deposited into a newly created bank account at Simmons Bank in the name of the winning business.
• Winners must work with Simmons Bank to establish the account, providing necessary documentation (e.g., proof of identity, business registration documents, tax identification number).
• The account must be opened within 30 days following the pitch finale event.

2. Prize Access:

• Once the account is opened and procedures are completed, eosera® Foundation will deposit the prize money. Winners will be notified when funds are available.

3. Usage of Funds:

• Prize money must be used to support the growth and development of the winner’s business, consistent with the goals presented during the competition.

4. Compliance:

• Winners must comply with all applicable laws and regulations related to the receipt and use of the prize money. Tax implications are the sole responsibility of the winner.
• Non-compliance may result in forfeiture of the prize money and/or legal action.

5. Dispute Resolution:

• Any disputes regarding prize distribution or usage will be resolved in accordance with Simmons Bank’s dispute resolution policies.

📝 Application Process

Submission Information:

• Applicants must complete the online application form available on the official competition website.
• Submissions must include a 1-minute video pitch explaining the business and the inspiration behind it. The video should not exceed 60 seconds and should showcase the applicant’s personality.

Essay Question Information (For Top 25 Finalists):

• Submissions must represent the original work of the entrant.
• Include accurate information about the participant’s background, experience, education, product development stage, and any claims or survey results.
• Answer essay questions truthfully and within the word limit. Submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges.
