✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Emory University Scholar Programs, applicants must meet the following requirements:

1. Citizenship: Open to all citizens of foreign countries who are not permanent residents of the United States (living in the US or abroad).
2. Admission Decision Plan: Applicants must choose one of the three admission decision plans:
   • Early Decision I
   • Early Decision II
   • Regular Decision
3. Application Submission: Submit all required application materials by November 15 (or November 1 for Early Decision I).
4. Merit Scholarship Consideration: Answer "yes" to the question regarding merit scholarship consideration on the application.

• Meet all first-year admission requirements.
• Demonstrate English proficiency and financial capability.

Specific Requirements:

1. English Proficiency:

   • TOEFL iBT or iBT Home Edition: 100
   • TOEFL ITP: C1
   • IELTS: 7.5
   • DuoLingo: 130
   • SAT: 700+ Evidence-based Reading and Writing score
   • ACT: 30+ English subset score

2. International Curriculum:
   Competitive curricula include:

   • International Baccalaureate (IB)
   • Advanced Placement (AP)
   • British A-Levels
     Other national systems are also recognized.

3. Financial Documentation:

   • Proof of sufficient funds to cover expenses (e.g., bank statement).
   • Applicants for financial aid must submit accurate financial documentation.

4. US Immigration Requirements:

   • Admitted students must wait for visa documents before traveling.
   • Register as full-time students each semester (except summer).
   • A valid passport or official travel document is required.

5. Insurance:

   • Medical insurance is mandatory.
   • Enrolled international students are automatically included in Emory’s Accident and Sickness Insurance plan unless they have equivalent coverage.

6. Additional Materials:
