đ About the Fellowship Program
The Earth Journalism Network is offering reporting fellowships to journalists in Bangladesh to support in-depth reporting on topics such as:
- Climate impacts on businesses
- ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) practices
- Climate finance
- Renewable energy
- Artificial intelligence (AI) and climate
- Clean mobility
- Corporate greenwashing
đ Benefits of the Fellowship
- Applicants are required to submit a detailed budget with justification for the amount requested.
- The maximum funding available is up to âŦ1,500.
- The budget should account for necessary reporting costs, such as travel and accommodation.
â Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Nationality: Applicants must be from Bangladesh.
- Groups: Groups of journalists are eligible, but the application must be submitted by a lead applicant. The lead applicant will be responsible for communication with EJN and receiving fellowship funds on behalf of the group.
- Language: Applications are accepted in English and Bangla.
- Medium: Open to journalists working in any medium, including:
- Online
- Television
- Radio
- Experience: Both early-career journalists and experienced reporters with a track record of covering business and climate change issues are encouraged to apply.
- Freelancers: Applications are welcome from freelancers as well as staff from all types of media organizations (international, national, local, and community-based).
- AI Transparency: Applicants must disclose the use of generative AI tools, if any, in revising their proposals. EJN reserves the right to disqualify applicants found engaging in unethical or improper professional conduct, including submitting AI-generated content as their own.
