✅ Eligibility Criteria

  • Open to individual professional journalists or teams of professional journalists of any nationality.
  • Applications can be submitted by the authors themselves or by professional media organisations and associations on their behalf.
  • Entries must have been published or broadcast in print, audiovisual, or online media outlets based in one of the 27 EU Member States between September 1, 2024, and July 31, 2025.
  • English is the official language of the Prize.
  • Journalists or teams may submit multiple entries, but each entry requires a separate application.

📝 Evaluation Criteria

Submissions will be evaluated based on the following criteria:

  1. Relevance: Contribution to the promotion of EU values and principles and relevance to European society.
  2. Content Quality: Well-documented, accurate, factual, and based on a variety of sources.
  3. Language and Style: High-quality language, style, and structure.
  4. Originality: An original and in-depth approach to the topic.

📅 Application Process

  • A summary in English (maximum 500 words) must be provided in the submission form.
  • Note: Plagiarism or infringement of third-party intellectual property rights will result in disqualification. Retrospective discovery of such violations will lead to revocation of the Prize.
