💰 Benefits of Creative New Zealand Early Career Fund

Applicants may request funding of up to $10,000 to support:

Creating, presenting, or distributing artistic work
Developing new knowledge or artistic skills
Professional development and practice growth
Paying a mentor to support artistic development

✅ Eligibility Criteria

Artists and practitioners of any age who meet the following criteria are eligible:

Early stage of their career
New Zealand citizens or Permanent Residents

Additional Notes:

You do not need a track record to apply.
You can apply as:
- An individual
- A group of collaborators

Who Cannot Apply:

Arts organizations, groups, and established artists cannot apply to this fund. This includes:
- Applying on behalf of an early career artist
- Applying to deliver activities such as mentoring to early career artists

If you’ve previously received an Early Career Fund grant, consider whether the Creative Fellowship Fund or Creative Impact Fund might be a better fit for supporting the next stage of your artistic development.
