The agency-nominated Master’s program is one of three Master’s programs offered by the Commonwealth Scholarship Commission.

🎁 Benefits of Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships

Each scholarship provides the following benefits:

  • Airfare: Approved airfare from the scholar's home country to the UK and return at the end of the award. (Note: Costs for dependents or journeys made before the award is confirmed are not covered.)
  • Tuition Fees: Full tuition fees covered by agreement between the CSC and the UK university. Scholars are not liable to pay any part of the tuition fee.
  • Stipend:
    • £1,452 per month for scholars outside London.
    • £1,781 per month for scholars at universities in the London metropolitan area.
  • Warm Clothing Allowance: Provided where applicable.
  • Study Travel Grant: Covers study-related travel within the UK or overseas.
  • Child Allowance:
    • £622 per month for the first child.
    • £154 per month for the second and third child under 16, if the scholar is a single parent and the children live with them in the UK.
  • Disability Support: A full assessment of needs and eligibility for additional financial support is offered for scholars with disabilities.

Note: The CSC’s family allowances are only a contribution towards the cost of maintaining a scholar’s family in the UK. Scholars must be prepared to supplement these allowances.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the Commonwealth Master’s Scholarships, applicants must:

  • Be a citizen of, or have been granted refugee status by, an eligible Commonwealth country, or be a British Protected Person.
  • Be permanently resident in an eligible Commonwealth country.
  • Be available to start academic studies in the UK by September 2026.
  • Hold a first degree of at least upper second-class (2:1) honors standard, or a lower second-class degree with a relevant postgraduate qualification (usually a Master’s degree) by September 2026.
  • Be unable to afford to study in the UK without this scholarship.
  • Provide all supporting documentation in the required format.
