About Clore Fellowship Programme ๐
The Clore Fellowship is a tailored leadership development programme designed for exceptional leaders in the cultural sector. It is aimed at individuals with ambition and vision who are ready to elevate their leadership to the next level. The programme is experiential, grounded in contemporary leadership theories and approaches, and not taught in a traditional classroom setting.
Benefits of Clore Fellowship Programme ๐
The Fellowship takes place between September 2026 and May 2027 and includes:

Residential Courses and Workshops:
- Two 5โ10 day residential courses and 3 days of workshops.
- Travel, accommodation, meals, and refreshments are covered.
- Learn about yourself, your leadership, and explore leadership skills and strategies.
- Work with facilitators, Clore Leadership staff, associates, and guest speakers.

Fellowsโ Assembly:
- Connect with leaders in the UK and internationally to discuss global leadership issues.

360ยฐ Leadership Profile:
- Explore your leadership style and its implications.

Secondment:
- A 6โ8 week placement in a UK-based cultural organisation, different from your own field, to stretch your leadership learning.

Development Budget:
- Up to ยฃ4,000 to spend on learning-related costs (e.g., conferences, courses, study visits, or books).

Bursary:
- ยฃ14,000 financial support for time away from work during the Fellowship (for UK Fellows only). Paid to you or your employer as appropriate.

Mentor or Coach Support:
- Individualized support throughout your learning journey.

Provocation Piece:
- Conduct research on a leadership topic of your choice.

Collaborative Enquiry Project:
- Work with your cohort to explore contemporary leadership questions and present findings during the second residential.

Access Budget Provision:
- Support for D/deaf, disabled, neurodivergent Fellows, or those with caring responsibilities.
Eligibility Criteria โ
Applicants must demonstrate the following:

Experience:
- At least 7 years working in a leadership or change-making role in arts and culture.
- For Excellerate Fellowships (early career leaders), 5 years of experience is required.
- A CV outlining your experience is required during the application process.

Leadership Ambition:
- Show ambition to lead and evidence of significant impact through your work or practice.

Commitment to the Cultural Sector:
- Deep passion, understanding, and commitment to the cultural sector and its broader context.

Leadership Potential:
- Demonstrate an understanding of your leadership potential.

Personal Attributes:
- Curiosity, self-reflection, self-awareness, and openness to learning about yourself and others.

Influence:
- Be in a position to influence practice, policy, and effect change in your organisation, sector, or beyond, as an artist or cultural professional.

Specialist Fellowships:
- Additional eligibility criteria may apply for specialist Fellowships. Applicants must address these criteria in their application.

- Be open to sharing your learning with others.
