Opportunity Overview

The Canadian Journalism Foundation (CJF) is currently accepting applications for its Black Journalism Fellowship. This program aims to amplify Black voices, improve coverage of Black issues in the news, and cultivate future Black media leaders.

  • Stipend: CAD 35,000 total for the duration of the fellowship.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

The program is generally intended for:

  • Black journalists based in Canada.
  • Early-career or emerging media professionals.
  • Individuals with a demonstrated interest in journalism, storytelling, or investigative reporting.
  • Applicants who can commit to full-time, in-person participation for six months.
