Berkeley is currently accepting applications for its Engineering Youth Academy 2026. This program offers an incredible opportunity for high school students to dive into the world of engineering through a hybrid learning experience.

🏫 About Berkeley Engineering Youth Academy

The Berkeley Engineering Youth Academy (BEYA) is an intensive hybrid program designed to introduce students to engineering fundamentals. The program includes:

  • Online instruction on engineering basics.
  • In-person classes and labs at UC Berkeley, focusing on hands-on projects such as:
    • CAD design
    • 3D printing
    • Wind tunnel testing
    • Robotics

Participants will also experience college life through campus housing, meals, and mentorship from the College of Engineering. The program concludes with a final showcase of student prototypes.

📋 Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the Berkeley Engineering Youth Academy, you must meet the following requirements:

  • Be a high school student (typically ages 15+).
  • Have an interest in STEM fields.
  • Have completed some prior coursework in math/science.
