Opportunity Overview

The AWF-Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship is an exciting opportunity for young African professionals passionate about environmental impact and leadership. This program aims to equip participants with transformational leadership and management skills to drive meaningful change in the conservation space.

📝 About the Fellowship

The AWF-Wall Leadership & Management Fellowship brings together professionals from various sectors, including the private sector, NGOs, public sector, and community-based entities. Participants will gain skills to lead impactful projects in the environmental and conservation fields.

🎁 Benefits of the Fellowship

Travel and Transport

  • Round-trip airfare and ground transport for the in-person workshop in Nairobi will be covered by AWF.

Accommodation & Sustenance

  • Comfortable lodging is provided for in-person workshops and placements.

Connectivity Support

  • A stipend for data bundles to ensure participants stay connected and engaged during virtual sessions.

Personalized Coaching

  • Ongoing coaching throughout the program to support participants in delivering their innovation projects.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the fellowship, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  1. Be a practitioner (employed, founder, or volunteer) in the conservation space. This includes areas such as:
    • Research
    • Communication
    • Science
    • Human Resources
    • Finance
    • Administration
    • Law
    • Community Engagement
    • Fundraising
    • Program Management
    • Wildlife Management
    • And more!
    • Note: Applicants do not need to be conservation scientists but must demonstrate a clear interest and passion for a career in conservation, regardless of their background.
  2. Be a national of any African country and currently living and working within Africa.
  3. Be aged 20-35 years.
  4. Hold a minimum of a diploma in any field.
  5. If francophone or lusophone, applicants must have basic English writing and speaking skills. Only applications submitted in English will be considered.
