The Astra Fellowship is a five-month, full-time program that provides selected fellows with financial, technical, and professional support to conduct high-impact research in AI safety. Participants work closely with leading experts and research mentors while engaging in collaborative projects at the intersection of machine learning, policy, and governance.

✅ Eligibility Criteria
The fellowship seeks talented individuals who are excited to pursue new ideas and projects that advance safe AI. You may be a strong fit if you:
- Are motivated to reduce catastrophic risks from advanced AI.
- Bring technical or domain-specific experience relevant to the focus areas of empirical research and strategy & governance.
- Would like to transition into a full-time AI safety role or start your own AI safety-focused organization.
Note: Prior AI safety experience is not required. Many impactful fellows have transitioned from adjacent fields and quickly made significant contributions.
