✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the Allan Gray Scholarship Programme, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be a current Grade 6 learner in the year of application.
• Be a South African citizen.
• Be 11 or 12 years old in Grade 6 (born in 2013 or 2014).
• Demonstrate financial need.
• Obtain a minimum of 70% in both English and Mathematics.

📝 Application Process and Timeline

1. Submit Application:
   Complete the application form and provide all required supporting documentation.

2. Foundation Assessment:
   Successful applicants will write the Foundation assessment in English and Mathematics for Grade 6 in December 2025.

3. Interviews:
   Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews in early 2026.

4. Placement School Interviews:
   Recommended candidates will attend interviews at placement schools.

5. Scholarship Award:
   Candidates approved by placement schools will be awarded the Allan Gray Scholarship in May 2026.

6. Memorandum of Agreement:
   The Foundation, placement school, and the Scholar’s custodian will sign a Memorandum of Agreement upon awarding the scholarship.
