The African Union Kofi Annan Fellowship in Global Health Leadership supports aspirational public health leaders in Africa to acquire advanced skills to strategize, manage, and lead public health programs. Fellows will contribute to the implementation of Africa’s Health Security and Sovereignty Agenda and the new public health order for Africa, shaping the next generation of leaders.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the fellowship, applicants must:

• Be a citizen of an African Union Member State.
• Hold a postgraduate degree in a public health-related field.
• Have 10+ years of professional experience after obtaining a Master’s degree.
• Be in full-time employment in a public or private health institution.
• Demonstrate leadership capacity or potential.

1. Employer support letter confirming full participation.
2. Two recommendation letters.
3. A personal statement (maximum 400 words) demonstrating commitment to public health and vision.
4. A leadership challenge project proposal (maximum 400 words).
