📖 About
The Africa CDC and AVMI Industrial Fellowship Programme is designed to equip recent graduates with the competencies outlined in the Vaccine R&D and Vaccine Manufacturing Competency Frameworks developed by the Africa CDC.
Participants will gain hands-on experience in vaccine manufacturing over 1 year, with a strong focus on current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMP). Fellows will be placed at an active vaccine manufacturing institution in one of the following countries:
- Egypt
- Senegal
- South Africa

✅ Eligibility Criteria
The industrial fellowship programme is targeted at recent graduates (not more than 3 years) with Bachelor's or Master's degrees in the following fields:
- Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences
- Pharmaceutical Biotechnology
- Chemistry and Biochemistry
- Chemical Engineering
- Biomanufacturing/Vaccine Manufacturing
Additional requirements:
- Must be a citizen of an African Union Member State
- Must possess a valid passport
- Must be available to participate in the industrial fellowship programme in one of the listed countries
- Must be proficient in English or French
