π About Romania Government Scholarships
Each year, the Romanian Government, through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, offers scholarships to citizens from non-EU countries. The scholarships aim to promote Romanian language and culture and are available for various fields of study, except Medicine, Dental Medicine, and Pharmacy.

π Benefits of Romania Government Scholarships
Recipients of the Romania Government Scholarships will receive the following benefits:
- Tuition fees fully covered.
- Accommodation expenses in dormitories (subject to availability and subsidy limits).
- Monthly financial aid:
- 65 EURO (equivalent in Romanian currency) for undergraduate and preparatory year students.
- 75 EURO (equivalent in Romanian currency) for master's students.
- 85 EURO (equivalent in Romanian currency) for PhD students.
Note: The scholarships do not cover international or domestic transport costs. Candidates must arrange personal financial support for these expenses.
β Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Romania Government Scholarships, applicants must meet the following requirements:
- Eligible Countries: International students from non-EU countries, except:
- Citizens of Romanian origin or part of Romanian historical communities.
- Citizens with protection status in Romania.
- Stateless persons officially recognized in Romania.
- Diplomatic and consular corps members or their families accredited to Romania.
- Staff members of international organizations based in Romania or their families.
- Beneficiaries of a Romanian state scholarship for the same study cycle.
- Present study documents issued by accredited/recognized educational institutions.
- Comply with the enrollment deadline.
- Achieve good academic results (minimum average score of 7 or "Good" in the Romanian scoring system).
- Follow the application submission methodology.
- Age requirements:
- Bachelor's and Master's Studies: Maximum 35 years.
- Doctoral Studies: Maximum 45 years.
π Application Process
Follow these steps to apply for the scholarship:
Step 1: Complete the Online Application Form
Fill out all sections of the online application form.
Step 2: Upload Required Documents
Prepare and upload the following documents in PDF format:
- Copies of diplomas (baccalaureate, bachelor's, master's, or doctorate) and their authorized translations into English, French, Spanish, or Romanian.
- Copies of transcripts and their authorized translations.
- Copy of the birth certificate and its authorized translation.
- Copy of the first three pages of the passport or national identity document and its authorized translation.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV) in English or French. For PhD applicants, include a letter of intent.
Step 3: Additional Documents (if applicable)
Upload the following documents based on specific circumstances:
- Proof of name change and its authorized translation.
- Certificates proving graduation or enrollment in the final year of studies and their authorized translations.
- Certificate of completion of the Romanian language preparatory year or linguistic competence.
- Notarized declaration of parental consent (for candidates under 18 years of age).

- Financing tuition fees;
- Financing the accommodation expenses in the dormitories, through the budget of the Ministry of Education, within the limit of the subsidy allocated for this purpose (accommodation will be provided to the extent of available places);
- Granting a monthly financial aid, as follows:
- The equivalent in βleiβ (the Romanian currency) of the amount of 65 EURO, for undergraduate and preparatory year students;
- The equivalent in βleiβ (the Romanian currency) of the amount of 75 EURO, for master students;
- The equivalent in βleiβ (the Romanian currency) of the amount of 85 EURO, for PhD students.
