The AWARD Leadership Program is funded by The Carnegie Corporation of New York (CCNY) and implemented by African Women in Agricultural Research and Development (AWARD). The program aims to build a pool of capable, confident, and influential young women scientists who can:

  • Champion gender integration in agriculture.

โœ… Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for this program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

  • Be 35 years or younger at the time of application.
  • Hold at least a bachelor's degree or equivalent in any agricultural science discipline from a recognized university.
  • Have at least five years of experience in the agricultural sector.
  • Be a citizen of one of the following countries:
    • Benin, Burkina Faso, Cรดte dโ€™Ivoire, Ethiopia, Ghana, Kenya, Malawi, Nigeria, Senegal, Tanzania, Zambia
  • Reside in Africa and be currently actively engaged in agriculture-related professional work.
  • Not be a Fellow or Laureate of any other Fellowships offered by AWARD.
