From 17 to 21 October 2025, the next Energy Camp will take place in Nairobi, Kenya, bringing together up to 12 visionary founders like you.
For an entire week, participants will engage in an intensive program that includes:

β Eligibility Criteria
Business Sector
Your startup must offer a product or service for the decentralized energy market in Sub-Saharan Africa, such as:
- Energy production or distribution
- Storage systems
- Energy solutions or services (e.g., health, education, water, sanitation, consumption, mobility, agriculture)
- Energy-efficient products and services
- Financing solutions
- Energy management
- Recycling/Repurposing
- Digital solutions for decentralized energy
- Smart Grid
Type of Product/Service
Your business idea:
- Is a development of a new product or service with MVP (not just an idea), or
- Represents a significant improvement of an existing product/service, or
- Introduces a known product/service into new markets.
Additional Requirements
- Location: Headquarters registered in Sub-Saharan Africa
- Majority of Shares: African nationals or non-Africans living permanently in Africa
- Experience: At least one founder has 2+ years of business experience
- Status: MVP is ready, with pilot customers or a realized pilot project
- Independence: Not a branch or franchise of an international company
- Age of Product/Service: Maximum 10 years
- Investment: Company has not received more than β¬500k from investors
