📖 About 2025 FNF GreenPitch Challenge

The 2025 GreenPitch Challenge is an opportunity for innovators and entrepreneurs to pitch their green economy innovation business ideas to a panel of esteemed judges at a “shark tank-style” hybrid networking event hosted in Cape Town in September 2025. Participants will have the chance to network with potential investors, business incubators, local government decision-makers, and green economy experts.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the 2025 GreenPitch Challenge, applicants must meet the following requirements:

Your green economy innovation business idea must be positioned within at least one of the Green Economy sectors (refer to GreenCape’s Market Intelligence Reports for details).
Your business must be based in South Africa.
Eligible businesses include:
- Early-stage start-ups (proof of concept, e.g., pilot project running, looking for first round of seed funding).
- Pre-growth phase businesses (registered and trading, with sales, looking for series A funding).
The green economy sectors include:
- Renewable energy
- Sustainable agriculture
- Water
- Sustainable mobility
- Circular economy
- Waste management

📅 Application Date and Process

Judging Process: Winners will be selected by a judging panel on the day of the event. The panel's decision is final.
