📖 About DIAGEO Learning For Life Program

Learning for Life is Diageo’s business and hospitality skills program designed for individuals seeking employment in the hospitality industry. It aims to provide equal access to business and hospitality skills, improve employability, and support a thriving hospitality sector.

The program is conducted in partnership with local educational, governmental, and training organizations, fostering growth for participants, Diageo, and the hospitality industry overall.

Program Highlights

The flagship Learning for Life (L4L) program in Nigeria for 2025 will onboard and train 250 participants in hospitality industry-standard skills and life skills, including:

• Hospitality Business Essentials
• Communication & Teamwork
• Career Readiness
• Bar Skills
• Confidence and Assertiveness
• Budgeting
• Dealing with Sexual Harassment
• Gender & Disability Inclusiveness
• Sustainability
• And more

After the training, participants will have the opportunity to intern at top hospitality businesses in Lagos, with a few promising participants receiving employment offers upon completing their internship.

✅ Eligibility Criteria

To qualify for the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• Be between the ages of 18–27 years.
• Reside in Lagos State or be able to stay in Lagos for the program's duration.
• Have an interest in pursuing a career in the hospitality sector.
• Women and individuals living with disabilities are encouraged to apply.

• Face-to-Face Training: 11th August – 15th August, 2025
• Online Course: 16th August – 24th August, 2025
• Internship Placement: 1st September – 17th November, 2025

2. Phase 2: Internship Placement within hospitality and tourism businesses in Lagos (11 weeks)
3. Phase 3: Online courses from Diageo Bar Academy
