FIGO is a professional membership organization that unites over 130 obstetrical and gynecological associations worldwide. Our vision is for women globally to achieve the highest possible standards of physical, mental, reproductive, and sexual health and well-being throughout their lives.

Global Initiatives

FIGO leads global program activities with a particular focus on sub-Saharan Africa and South East Asia. Our efforts include:

• Advocating on the global stage to raise the status of women and enable their active participation in achieving their reproductive and sexual rights.
• Providing education and training for our Member Societies.
• Building capacities in low-resource countries by strengthening leadership, translating and disseminating good practices, and promoting policy dialogues.

Partnerships

FIGO maintains official relations with the World Health Organization and holds consultative status with the United Nations.
