The Essen Health Conference 2025

The Essen Health Conference is a forum where economists present work on the nexus between health, human capital, and socio-economic outcomes. We invite submissions in the fields of health, education, and labour economics, especially at the intersections between them.

Conference Details

• Annual Event: The conference has been held annually since 2010.
• Paper Selection: Approximately 40 papers are selected, and their authors are invited to Essen for a three-day conference.
• Presentation Format: Each participant presents their own paper and discusses another within a session.
• Attendance Requirement: Participants are expected to stay for the entire duration of the conference.

Awards and Fees

• Best Paper Prize: A prize of 1,000 euros will be awarded to the best paper in the programme.
• Registration Fee: There is no registration fee for the conference.
