About SOPO 2026

The 17th International Symposium on Photonics and Optoelectronics (SOPO 2026) is co-organized by the Harbin Institute of Technology, the Spectral Branch of Jilin Provincial Society for Analysis and Testing Technology, and other esteemed institutions.

SOPO is an annual conference that has been held in China since 2009. Over the years, it has taken place in various cities, including Wuhan, Chengdu, Shanghai, Suzhou, Xi’an, Beijing, Guilin, Sanya, Xiamen, and Kunming.

Each year, the symposium attracts 100–200 attendees from across Asia, Europe, America, and other regions. The event is renowned for hosting plenary speeches delivered by well-known experts in the field.
