Call for Contributions: Achievements in Law Enforcement Agency and Innovator Cooperation

The NOTIONES project aims to build a network of practitioners from security and intelligence services across EU Member States and associated countries. This network supports the needs of security and intelligence services, enabling them to participate in research and innovation actions.

As the project nears completion, the fifth and final NOTIONES conference will showcase innovative research, case studies, and technical demonstrations. The event will highlight best practices in fostering collaboration between security and intelligence practitioners, academia, and industry.

Key topics include:

  • Rapid technological advancements and their application in the daily work of security practitioners
  • Knowledge sharing to maintain secure, adaptive, and resilient societies

The conference will feature contributions from the NOTIONES network, other EU projects, and participants sharing recent findings and insights. Presentations are invited on:

  • Ongoing and recently concluded research
  • Practitioner case studies
  • Novel uses of relevant technologies
  • Analyses of changing laws and governance in the field

Themes for Contributions

We invite original research papers, case studies, and best practice showcases on the cooperation of academia, industry, and law enforcement agencies (LEAs) in:

  • Developing new technologies to assist LEAs
  • New education and training methods for LEAs
  • Novel technologies in service of law enforcement agencies

Submission Guidelines

  • Abstract: 300–400 words on your chosen form of contribution
  • Language: English
  • Submission Deadline: 30 January 2026 (via email to linda.hart@laurea.fi)
  • Notification of Acceptance: 6 February 2026
  • Registration Fee: None for the NOTIONES conference or Forum InCyber regular attendance
  • Pre-registration: A registration link will be provided (open 12 January – 16 March 2026)
