About Kunming University of Science and Technology

Kunming University of Science and Technology (KUST) was officially founded in 1954, with its history dating back to 1925. It is one of the top 100 universities in China and the largest university, as well as the only polytechnic university, in Yunnan province. During an inspection tour of Yunnan province in early 2015, Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Xi Jinping praised KUST as "a famous university in China." KUST has three campuses, all located in Kunming, the capital of Southwest China’s Yunnan province.
