18th CONGRESS OF THE EUROPEAN FORUM FOR RESEARCH IN REHABILITATION

You are warmly invited to the 18th Congress of the European Forum for Research in Rehabilitation (EFRR), which will be held in Budapest, Hungary, from 28-31 August 2025.

About EFRR

The history of the EFRR dates back to 1983, when the first meeting was held in Edinburgh. We are now preparing for the 18th Congress in Budapest. This will be the second congress of the EFRR in this beautiful city, following the highly successful meeting in 2007. The venue will be the same hotel, located by the beautiful River Danube, opposite Margaret Island. The connection between the Hungarian rehabilitation field and the EFRR is longstanding, with active Hungarian members on the EFRR Council since the 1990s.

Congress Focus

The EFRR aims to promote research and its implementation in rehabilitation. It is a multidisciplinary organization with a holistic perspective on rehabilitation. In addition to rehabilitation medicine, it welcomes research on psychosocial aspects of rehabilitation, including:

• Return to work
• Social rehabilitation
• Universal design

The main topics of this congress will cover the entire biopsychosocial spectrum of rehabilitation research. We welcome:

• Medical doctors
• Allied health and other healthcare professionals
• Vocational rehabilitation experts
• Architects
• Other professionals working within the field of rehabilitation
